The following options are available to families seeking low or no cost internet services
Cox's Connect2Compete Program
Cox's Connect2Compete internet program provides for low-cost internet service to students in Santee School District. This program is available to families who are eligible in the Free/Reduced Lunch (NSLP) program.
The new application for service between July 21 and September 30, 2020, will include:
Free Installation and Equipment
First two (2) month Free service
$9.95 per month thereafter

Program Qualification:
Have a K-12 Student
Qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch (NLSP) program (must provide qualification letter)
New Cox Customer
For families that qualify for the Free/Reduced Lunch program but feel that they cannot afford the $9.95 monthly service charge and would like to explore other options, please email studentsupport@santeesd.net.
Mobile WiFi Hotspot
The District has a limited quantity of mobile WiFi Hotspot devices. These devices are reserved for families who qualify for the Free/Reduced Lunch Program. Preference will be given to such families whose place of residence is not serviceable by Cox Communication. Hotspot assigned to families is for use at home (Place of Residence) only.
If you need to loan a mobile hotspot device, please communicate with your School Office. You will also need to show your Free/Reduced Meal Qualification letter from Child Nutrition Services when picking up the hotspot device.
Note:
The hotspot device has a data cap of 20GB per billing cycle (month).
The District cannot guarantee the bandwidth or the quality of service with the hotspot devices.
